I don't need it... But I want it.

Blame Canada

Seen at Canadian House & Home, totally loving the way Massimo Vitali got in the mix… and that they keep their sheep in the living room!

My New Piano!

This smooth, simple oak table has a musical secret under its hood– lift a door on its side and you’ll expose a full, 88-key electric piano.  The Piano Table by Georg Bohle is one of the most inventive pieces of furniture we’ve seen in some time, merging the musical with the modern.

Perfect for the Revival of the “Salon Culture” that i’ve been preaching about! All i got to do now is learn to play… or listen to Diana (Click it!)

Like a bull in a china shop

Or as we say… “Wie ein Elefant im Porzellanladen” wouldn’t prevent me from packing my bags and moving straight into the Fabergé shop recently opened in Geneva!

Who would have expected such a look from a company who’s mostly famous for laying eggs since something like 1882…

That’s the Mater

Spending 4h in a bar yesterday with ONE barstool… cause all the others broke… inspired me to post the Mater Stool. It’s an absolute beauty and i would not have minded spending those 4h sitting on one of them.

Desk Dream

Robin Grasby designed this Homework Desk with designers, architects, illustrators, teachers, and students in mind. It might not make your kids scream “Homework… Yes please!” But you have to admire this adaptable work desk from a guy who just graduated school himself.

Who’s on board?

It appears that today is desk day: A great idea coming out of the UK is the “Paperweight Desk” completely out of cardboard!

The cardboard box changed the world, but that was 150 years ago. Since then this fabulously versatile material has enjoyed a modest press, but in the environmentally sensitive, cost-conscious world of 2010 its time may have come.

This spring Cardboard Future Ltd launches a range of fun and practical furniture products for the home and office made entirely of pristine corrugated board, designed and built in England to mirror the mood of the times.

Starting with the stunning Paperweight desk, they are rolling out a comprehensive product range to include storage, pedestals, book shelves, wardrobes, beds, and tables in a wide range of shapes and sizes.
